Bradley Baseball entered a new era in 2003 when it moved downtown to play at the Peoria Chiefs’ new class A stadium, O’Brien Field.  Then the Midwest League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals (now with affiliated with the Cubs), the Chiefs opened the park on May 24, 2002 with a 3-0 win versus the Kane County Cougars before a record crowd of 8,824.  Bradley’s inaugural game in the facility was played on March 26, 2003 when the Braves earned a 5-4 win against Northern Illinois in the front end of a doubleheader.

The new park accommodates 7,500 in chair back seats with additional grass seating along the left and right field fouls lines as well as a grass lawn shaded by palm trees beyond the left field wall.

Situated at the center of the field’s upper deck is the press box, featuring a room for working print media and four radio/television booths.  The game operations room also is located in the press box, where the message board, video board and public address system are controlled.

Flanking the press box on the upper deck are twenty luxury boxes and two party decks.  The Bradley Baseball team utilizes the Grace and Maddux Suites on the third base side of the stadium to accommodate its Dugout Club and special guests.

O’Brien Field is family friendly and features a playground area for children in the region behind the batter’s eye in straight away center field.
