2008 (Junior):  By sharing the team lead with six home runs and ranking fourth in The Valley with 19 stolen bases, Brewer became the first player in Bradley Baseball history to hit at least 20 career home runs and swipe at least 40 career bases ... Became just the fourth Brave since 1973 to earn first-team All-MVC honors as an outfielder ... Named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week March 24 after batting .435(10-23) with 13 runs batted in and eight runs scored in the final two games of the spring break trip to Florida and the opening Valley series at Evansville ... The only player on the team to record more walks (28) than strikeouts (26) ... Ended the season on Bradley's career top 10 lists in six offensive categories:  triples (t-fourth, 9), hit-by-pitches (fourth, 19), runs scored (seventh, 142), doubles (seventh, 47), stolen bases (seventh, 47) and total bases (ninth, 325).

2007 (Sophomore):  With Bradley struggling at the leadoff position (.189 batting average in the first 30 games), Brewer was moved to the top of the lineup April 17 and he has responded by hitting .306 with 23 runs scored in the 23 games after the switch, helping the Braves to a 17-6 record ... As the leadoff hitter, it is not surprising that Brewer led the Braves with 20 stolen bases, but he also topped the squad with 10 home runs.

2006 (Freshman):  Led the team in most offensive categories during his freshman season including batting average (.347), hits (68), runs (42), doubles (20), home runs (5) and stolen bases (8) ... Led the team with 20 multi-hit games, including a 5-for-6 performance on March 18 against Cornell ... Had a career-best 11-game hitting streak, going 18-for-42 (.429) during the span from May 10 to May 25.

High School:  A three-sport star at Lyons Township, Brewer played football and baseball for four seasons and wrestled his first three years ... On the diamond, Brewer was a two-time all-state honoree (honorable mention in 2004 and first team in 2005) and a three-time all-conference performer ... Helped the Lions to the 2003 IHSA Class AA state championship ... As a senior, Brewer hit .460 with 13 home runs and 57 runs batted in.

Personal:  The youngest of four brothers, each of his older siblings also competed as college student-athletes, including former Indiana State baseball player Tim Brewer ... The son of Tim Brewer Sr. and Rebecca Briskey, Dan was born July 19, 1987 ... Majoring in business with an emphasis in marketing.
