2008 (Sophomore):  Received a medical redshirt for the 2008 season and maintains three years of eligibility. 

2007 (Freshman):  Used primarily in middle relief, Hamdan posted a 1-0 record, but an 8.27 earned run average, in his nine appearances ... Was effective in both his starts, going 1-0 with a 2.61 earned run average as a starter ... Earned the win in his first career start, fanning a season-best six hitters in 5.1 innings in a 5-4 victory versus Northern Illinois March 28 at O’Brien Field ... Season ERA skewed by his last two outings, when he allowed seven earned runs in a total of 1.1 innings May 19 at UNI and May 25 versus Creighton in the MVC Tournament.

High School:  A four-year letterman, Hamdan helped Shepard to back-to-back regional championships ... Named all-conference and all-area as a senior in 2006 ... During his senior season, Hamdan posted a 2.87 ERA and led the area with 84 strikeouts.

Personal:  The son of Ahmad and Samia Hamdan, Ramie was born Nov. 15, 1987 in Oak Lawn, Ill. ... One of four siblings, Ramie has an older brother, Habeeb (22), and two younger brothers, Naseem (18) and Ramsey (14) ... Majoring in marketing.
